Performance and usability testing of cleaning products, quality control, compliance with specifications.
- Detergents: accelerated or extended tests for washing, color loss, wear;
- Fabric softeners: tests for softness, persistence of perfume, swelling, glide;
- Dishwashing, dishwasher or hand washing products: washing efficiency, veil effect, foaming power, aggressiveness;
- Carpet shampoos: cleaning efficiency, stain-removing power, propensity to re-soiling;
- Detergents for “hard surfaces”: cleaning efficiency on tiled floors, greasy kitchen surfaces, enamelled sheet metal, etc.;
Approximately 3,000 products per year are tested through the Center from raw material manufacturers, formulators (e.g. laundry detergents), mass distribution and consumer associations.
On these different products, the CTTN-IREN carries out checks according to the specifications: sampling, quality control, control of the physico-chemical characteristics and the chemical composition of the product in relation to its technical data sheet.
